About This Project

After sifting through a list starting with 120 properties with realtor and friend Jerry Butterbrodt, to find the right one, the client chose a wedge shaped acre with serious slope, solid bedrock and only a small area that was buildable. At the same time it backed up to two adjacent buttes and had sweeping views. All of this became the ingredients for creativity leading to a one-of-a-kind home. On 5 levels, with limited area for private patio space and straddling the only ‘buildable’ area, it included an elevated skywalk entry, as the only way to logically reach the front door. Their children immediately loved that, and the rest of the design became a big hit. And it was another green build!
