Cate Design was formed in 1989 to showcase the talents of architect Paul D. Cate and artist Monika Cate.
Paul Cate
Paul Cate is a 1977 graduate of the University of Arizona College of Architecture and an NCARB Registered Architect in Arizona. His first project beginning in 1975, Paul has more than 45 years of experience, having practiced in a variety of firms in Tucson until moving to Sedona in 1987, and has been in practice as a sole proprietor since forming Cate Design. Monika Cate
Monika Cate, educated at the Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Braunschweig, Germany, was formerly the design principal of a large stained glass firm in Germany which sold work all over Europe. With over 40 years of experience, she brings her creativity to custom stained glass commissions, one of a kind glass art pieces, lamps, mirrors and more. Further, she continues the pursuit of her first loves, mixed media fine art and photography.
